VERATIE are an alt-rock / nu-metal band, based in Southeast Queensland. Formed in 2021 by lead singer-songwriter Sarah and guitarist-beatmaker Connor, VERATIE weaves synth, heavy guitars, and relentless rhythm; with soaring melodic and rap vocals. VERATIE has a modern sound inspired by artists such as Linkin Park, Evanescence, Paramore, MUSE, and Spirit Box. They have already supported names such as The Halo Effect (Europe), Beyond the Black (Europe), Redhook, Devilskin (New Zealand), Lagerstein, Krave & more. They have recently recorded their debut, 10 song album with James See at Airlock Studios.
This body of work thematically revolves around the intersection of humanity, society, machine and divine, with singles and accompanying music videos set to release from September 2024.

VERATIE are set to release their debut single “Ashes” from their upcoming album, “In/Human”. Lead vocalist Sarah describes Ashes as an “unflinching analysis of the relationships we have with others and with ourselves, and the fight to reclaim identity. The track’s resurrection metaphor calls you to unleash your voice and refuse to partner with your own destruction.”
VERATIE are complementing this release with an official music video, dropping on YouTube September 8th 2024. The clip was conceptualised by frontwoman Sarah and features fire dancers from her performance community. VERATIE’S fingerprints are seen across the whole process from the underlying narrative to costume and set design. This creative vision was brought to life with the expert eye of Darren Martin at Zero Point Productions.
